CABERNET FRANC

The Cabernet franc grape, along with Sauvignon blanc, is the parent grape to the popular wine grape Cabernet Sauvignon. The grape is thinner-skinned than Cabernet Sauvignon and does well in cool regions. It only made its appearance in Argentina about a decade ago, but has had great success in producing savory wines, with elegant aromas and fine tannins.

MALBEC

One of the traditional Bordeaux varietals, Malbec has characteristics that fall somewhere between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It can bring ample tannin, deep color and a particular plum-like flavor. Malbec comes to its own in Argentina, where it is the major red varietal planted. Argentine Malbecs are usually intense, complex and dark-colored with a lush structure.
